My Specialty: Helping Seniors, understand issues, fix technical problems and be safe on the Net

Hi, I’m Craig. Thanks for dropping by.

I have been called the “Geek who can speak” because of my uncanny ability to make complicated things sound simple to understand.  Perhaps that is because I have two college degrees, not in computer science as you may think, but in Journalism.  I graduated from UC Berkley in 1982 and from Stanford University in 1984.

Using metaphors, analogies and simple concepts, I make it easy to understand what’s going on with your computer and how to fix it.

Fresh out of grad school, I started two professional trade magazines in the computer industry.  “Computer Language” which was for software developers, and “AI Expert” for advanced programmers.  Also, I along with my business partner, Carl Landau, created two industry trade shows for each market that ran annually for each magazine audience.

I have been an “industry analyst” who spoke on panels at trade shows like Comdex (microcomputer industry) and CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegs, NV every year.

I have also worked as a high-end consultant on Digital Strategies to such companies as Intel, AT&T, Bechtel, and Starbucks just to name a few.

I can fix anything from Microsoft Windows and Apple computers to complex Linux systems.  As a “jack of all trades” I am able to build new systems and fix used systems with new hardware components.  I am also an expert in networking, configuring routers for secure firewalls, VPN’s and WiFi hotspots.

I have worked closely with tech-support agents at all of the internet providers to represent my clients instead of making them do it themselves.

My favorite quote is: “I’d write you a short letter, but I don’t have the time” — Mark Twain.
